Review of U-571 (2000) by Michael K — 13 Jan 2009
Not a great movie really, for anybody that knows submarines. In World War.
II, about 45-50 crew were needed to manage a UBoat which was highly complex, and many of them were lost due to human error. The film suggest we are to believe that 10 reduced to 7 could managed one with little knowledge. They were just about towed to port, by the allies, but none of them entetered into combat with an allied crew. But still the film was all action as usual from Hollywood.
