Review of U-571 (2000) by Jon C — 14 Sep 2013
The movie is a great dedication to the brave Allied soldiers who fight in a German submarine that's tested to the limit.
The excitement doesn't really kick off until after 40 min, by then you are rooting for these sailors having to resort using another submarine formerly used by their enemies.
They use all kinds of tactics to stay alive including going deeper into the water where the pressure dangerously increases, have to avoid water explosives and dodging underwater missles.
Cant even imagine what the actual experience of almost sinking or being blown up from the water must have been like.
Thankfully these characters were able to acquire enigmatic codes that favor in turn for the war.
The action is well directed and the suspense is very killer.
