Taking its title from the kind of threat one can see coming, this flawed, but ultimately affecting, film tells the tale of the kind of threat you can't. Considine is not yet a skilled enough filmmaker to avoid all the obvious traps, but Colman is a skilled enough actress to soar above them.
Hers is the sort of pure, searing performance Oscar voters should reward. If they see it.
