Review of Tyrannosaur (2011) by Robb J — 07 Oct 2011
An all-time great film by any standards. A difficult watch, but the writing and performances are so honest you're hooked. Never once did it put a foot wrong, and it took me hours to get my head back out from it.
Mullan and Colman are really breathtakingly good in this tale of domestic violence and the struggle for redemption, in perfect harmony with their writer/director Considine. It's a film which never reaches for easy answers, but isn't without humour and deserves award after award.
