Review of Tyrannosaur (2011) by Warwick B — 01 Mar 2012
Written and directed by Paddy Considine, Tyrannosaur is the story of Joseph (Peter Mullan) a hardened working class widower plagued by rage and violence that is driving him to self destruction.
When chance leads him to Hannah (Olivia Colman) a born-again charity shop worker, he sees a chance to mend his ways and the course of his life.
Hannah has troubles of her own and is hiding a secret, one that could have devastating consequences for them both.
Powerful social drama, brilliantly acted by its two leads. Not for the faint hearted.
