Review of Tyrannosaur (2011) by Bill B — 10 Mar 2012
Powerful debut from Paddy Considine. Tyrannosaur has a lot to say about violence and the transformative power of friendship. Peter Mullan is excellent as the damaged and wraithful Joseph but is eclipsed slightly by the frankly exceptional work of Olivia Colman in a role that is pure award bait.
It is just a shame that she seems to have been overlooked by everyone. Its deeply affecting and raw and suprising with some of the best kept secrets in the film industry today. Go see it.
