I have always liked Sandra Bullock in rom-coms & in Speed. I especially love it when she acts as quirky so likable characters! Who cares if it's predictable, it's pleasant! The sweet part about this film was when [SPOILER ALERT] the man makes little sacrifices of time to cheer her up and when he professes his love for 'Lucy' (Sandra B.

) in a very-well thought out endearing speech which he actually wrote himself. Plus keeping promised after being a sodding womanizer. love does that to a guy I guess (well I am hoping so or am complete fool).

That and many other cutesy amusing moments like mattress shopping, the stapler incident, coin in cup of coffee, etc. Sandra Bullock comes off as sincere and very funny when she plays a gullible cute smartypants :] This one is no exception.

Of course I love British accents (though I prefer Colin Firth to Hugh Grant but that's ok [am rambling]) so anything in Bri-ish just sounds hilarious no matter what. I relate a lot of quirky female characters I find.

..i.e. this one and Bridget Jones. Note to self: have listed down all the Sandra Bullock films of interest (or wish to watch again) upon clicking on the 'Special Features' menu in a library DVD.

Hm, did not know they had bonus stuff on their. Jolly good. Oh I luurrrvve British phrases: sod off, bloody hell, the loo, the telly, etc. :D Hurrah for the English! :D Extra note: must look for funny British films/shows akin to Bridget Jones or other such romantic comedies.
