Review of Two Weeks Notice (2002) by Jani H — 31 Mar 2010
I'll admit, I've seen too many romantic comedies lately. They're not my type of movies but surprisingly I've enjoyed some of them. 'Two Weeks Notice' was a decent flick with a stereotypical storyline.
Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock know how to star in romcoms. I haven't seen for example Grant in any other genre movies than this. Have you? Once again, he is a phlegmatic guy who takes life easy. Bullock is... Bullock but this is the first time that I've seen her include toilet humor in her movies. Necessary? Perhaps not but it happens to be one of the best segments in the movie.
The chemistry between the two is good but the characters that I liked most was Bullock's characters parents. Dana Ivey and Robert Klein are actors that you'll probably recognize by look but their names can be a bit unfamiliar.
The story then? I'm pretty sure that you know what the end result is so why bother telling you a synopsis of the movie. What I can say is, that the movie is funny, some scenes are in fact hilarious as hell and most importantly, the actors seem to enjoy them selves on the screen. Recommended for an easy romantic night.
