Two charming Hollywood stars pair up well in the silly but likable comedy, Two Weeks Notice. With Sandra Bullock pulling out her goofy side and Hugh Grant sporting his typical bossy British guy attitude, the two are bound to entertain us in one way or another. As the premise revolves around the two meeting by accident and falling in love (after he hires her to work for him), one may soon realize how predictable this flick will be. Yet, the leads are so watchable and the script is so comical, thereâ(TM)s plenty to keep it afloat.

Starting off with Bullockâ(TM)s quirky character fighting as an activist to prevent her childhood community center from being demolished, it is not long before she meets Hugh Grant by coincidence (or is it?) and he hires her in agreement that he can save her precious community center in return for her working for him. Not surprisingly, only a brief time passes by until she realizes how difficult he is and she resigns with a two weeks notice (hence the filmâ(TM)s title). But after all the close moments they have shared, will it really be that easy to let each other go? Things get quite extreme from here on.

Though some may see this as the most ridiculous scenario they have ever heard of, others may accept that this aspect makes the film all the more enjoyable and allows for some hilarious shenanigans to take place. As the plot gets more complicated with every step, the more comic relief sets in and one cannot help but enjoy the absurdity. A few scenes stretch a bit far (particularly Bullockâ(TM)s bowel movement in a traffic jam) and the runtime drags in bits, but itâ(TM)s certainly a harmless film with two shining stars doing their best to be appealing as ever.
