Okay, I know I am going to hate myself in the morning for this; but I liked it. Yes, I know it is not a serious film and that substance along with an apostrophe in the title is missing.

In mitigation, it was Sunday afternoon and I watched it on TV. The weathermen promised us 72 degrees. It rained and when it didn't the wind blew. Not long after Columbo had brought Doctor Spock to book, along comes this trifling dessert. I thought it agreeable.

Hugh Grant is good in just about everything. He deserves to make a proper film rather than spout witty lines and do his impression of a clumsy Englishman. He and Sandra Bullock (who got her chance this year) make an engaging pair in this. You know the lion and unicorn couple are set to charm the pants off each other. They charm it off us too. At least they did me.

So, that's it. The end of whatever credibility I had left. Two Weeks Notice - with or without the apostrophe - did it for me.

My letter of resignation is in the post.
