A bigger than average budget make this one of Herschell Gordon Lewis' best efforts. The gore is every bit as full on as 'Blood Feast' and Connie Mason's acting has improved considerably in this film.
I really like the look of this movie (the colour red is just so red! (as in 'Blood Feast')). The re-make (2001 Maniacs starring Robert 'Freddy Krueger' England) wasn't half bad either! Though the original is still, obviously, the best.
