Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Ryan B — 06 Jul 2009
Joaquin Phoenix's performance in 'Two Lovers' is one of the best he's ever given. His character is restless, troubled, but completely relate-able in a film that's engaging, insightful and beautifully directed.
The ending is a bit obligatory--but I wouldn't have it any other way. Sometimes life and love is complicatingly simple.
