Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Chris M — 11 Oct 2009
Joaquin Phoenix could be one of the best actors out there right now and this movie is perfect for him - a bot who wants what he can't have and his semi-sociopathic way of settling and compromise. James Gray directs the movie and keeps the audience interested but the ending is a bot off.
Paltrow is mis-cast and Vinessa Shaw does not get enough screentime as Phoenix's other love interest.
