Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Mirko B — 09 Dec 2010
James Gray created a story about two people in complete emotional disrepair: Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow are neighbors and both of them need help-he to get over a failed engagement and she to get otu of a bad relationship.
He falls for her while his family is setting him up with an another girl and you can already hear the wedding bells ringing... Isabella Rosellini is quite unusual in the mother's role, but then again she improves every movie she's in.
The film won't stay in your mind forever but it's a nice pastime for a winter evening at home.
