Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Ricardo Junior S — 10 May 2011
"Two lovers" is an interesting and insightful little movie that give us more questions than answers. Writer/director James Gray is always looking inside his characters, making them tridimensional people hard to understand, but hypnotical to watch.
All the cast is good, but Phoenix is always a standout, doing something new and unique with the typical tormented charming young adult. It lacks the fire of a real passion most of time, but is intense in its own ways.
