Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by Jesus G — 28 Aug 2008
I wasn't to sure about this...not exactly a fan of james taylor and can't stand the beach boys...i watched it for monty hellman and because Warren Oates was a badass.
Make you want of this movie...to me is a non-pretentious, humble look at one self with the things that matter to you at the moment...(key phrase 'at the moment')...so for now it is dudes that like cars and a chick who likes them and warren oates...well..being a badass character that has many faces..
Excellent...not for everyone and its more than a road movie...watch it a couple of times.
In my opinion, Vincent Gallo took a lot from it for The Brown Bunny (<-- I'm probably the only person who LOVED it).
