Review of Two Days, One Night (2014) by Daniel P — 21 Feb 2015
While the theme of the struggles for the working class poor is important, this movie did not capture the issue of brotherhood that I imagined. We are all looking for humanity in our work and our lives, but this movie gave me nothing regarding the issues facing the business man vs the laborer.
I applaud the asking of the question, but without a hint of answer, direction or triumph it just fell flat. The intellectual challenge was there, but for a movie to be artistic, it has to present something the author discovered that is new or special.
This was just melancholic.
