Review of Two Days, One Night (2014) by Dan H — 28 Nov 2015
A woman suffering from severe depression has to fight for her job when she learns she is at risk of being fired, but is she up to the task? This is a small, intimate film that works as both a character study, and as a film about humanity in a weird way (Would you help your fellow man? What is getting in the way of you doing so?).
This is probably my favorite performance from Cotillard. It's a slow moving film, but I definitely liked it as it was a surprisingly refreshing change of pace from what I'm used to. It's also neat in that it doesn't feel like you are watching a movie, it feels like real life.
I'd recommend it.
