Review of Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier (2013) by Lynda M — 26 Sep 2009
There was kind of a lot of star power here but it wasn`t a great movie. It`s very late night TV movie with "mind trickery" and red herrings aplenty.
The killer`s motive was a bit weak in the end and for a sharp, tough cookie, Ashley Judd`s character isn`t very quick on the uptake. When you keep having blackouts and suspect you`re killing people during that time, the first and best thing to do is STOP DRINKING, YOU DRUNKARD.
Throughout the movie, you don`t really get to know anyone and you don`t start to like anyone so it held attention only because I thought Samuel L Jackson and Andy Garcia wouldn`t appreciate being stopped unfinished and because I wanted to make sure the twist wasn`t that the movie was engineered to be so bad that the killer really was her when she was having blackouts.
PS. Still better than Three Blind Mice.
