Review of Twin Town (1997) by Tim D — 10 Apr 2009
I spent a great deal of money obtaining an American video version of this and now I can't find it. Oh well, will have to get on DVD. You don't have to be from South Wales to fully appreciate this movie but some of it may go over your head. My American wife found it rather disturbing that I laughed at some of the horrible things the "twins" get up to in the name of vengeance and justice.
I guess this film is quite revealing about the Welsh character - it captures many types quite chillingly, including the bitter policeman, the jumped up business man, the poetic tragic heroic father figure and lots of strong women to boot.
Right then, you have to take two hits of the bong, hold your breath under water for ten seconds and then rent this movie and watch it with a hotdog with everything on it.
Top Tidy!!!
