Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Faris A — 05 Jul 2009
One of Lynch's more cogent films, it illustrates much of what fans of the television series may already assume about Laura's troubled past in a way that more than justifies its unflinching, brutal portrayal.
It succeeds in conveying a sense of anxiety and dread, both of which Lynch excel at. Couple that with a wave of dark, foreboding atmosphere - due in no small part to Badalamenti's moody riffs -and you have one of the finest films of its decade.
