Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Ross G — 11 Feb 2010
A great film about, life. A great film about the paranormal. A great film about crime. Probably the masterwork under the Lynchian model, amazingly well crafted, beautifully scored, shot unlike anything that had been shot before.
Shot like a moving painting rather than a movie. It is not Dale Cooper and chums, which bloody well shouldn't have been. The show was called Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks is an American situated near an intersection of two worlds one of unimaginable beauty (The White Lodge) and the other of unimaginable terror (The Black Lodge) and the visitor from the former who is a sort of spiritual parasite.
Can't say enough good things about this movie.
