Sad and scary and absurd. Reminds me of Bergman's "Cries and Whispers" with the spectral presences and raw emotion, Sheryl Lee's performance is inspired and committed. I always thought of it as distinct from the series.
The audience I saw it with at Cinefamily was laughing out loud too much in an attention getting way and that was annoying.
