Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Patrick M — 16 Apr 2013
Lynch said this was his most experimental film until The Straight Story and it shows--his use of the abstract in Fire Walk With Me is perfect and truly develops the pathos of the story. I still don't think the film is suitable for people who haven't watched the entire Twin Peaks series.
If you don't have the connections to the world and characters developed in the series, the movie could seem cold and foreign. With that knowledge, the film is a powerful examination of a beautiful, strange world.
