Review of Twilight's Last Gleaming (1977) by Bill S — 02 Apr 2017
Marred by dialogue-heavy scenes and an endurance test of duration. Like Taking of Pelham 123, I feel I will gain more from repeated viewings. Charles Durning is perfect as the sacrificial lamb in a corrupt world. It's all very good. But for the aforementioned, it could have received warmer reviews by first-time viewers, (like me).
As a second-time viewer, I feel exactly the same. Could easily lose half an hour of chat and a much cleverer designed bomb coming out of a chopper.
