Review of Twilight (1994) by Jesse M — 01 Aug 2018
So to be fair I am reviewing with no knowledge of the books.
Story was at times interesting but to be honest the supporting actors are the stars of this movie.
I found the romance very blah and without any passion or anything leading up to it.
I can see being interested in the vampires as a whole but I see nothing fascinating about Edward Cullen.
I will say that I am fairly certain Jacob will be a more believable character than Edward.
The antagonist of the movie were disappointing. I always find it sad when rivals are introduced and hinted at being so powerful and no scene or back story to back it up.
There were moments when Bella Swan was a almost believable character. Went a little too emo and clearly she is not.
To be fair I watched it several times to ensure I wasn't missing anything.
Music was great over all!
I will say this as support acting goes: Nikki Reed was convincing is her role as Rosalie!
I was seriously impressed with her performance.
The ratings would have been higher I am certain if they had taken more time to back story and true passion for the scenes!
So in all I give it 2 stars and a re watch from time to time!
