Review of Twentieth Century (1934) by Lucia S — 05 Oct 2008
A nice semi dramatic but mostly screwball flick starring the stupendous John Barrymore and beautiful Carole Lombard. In truth, the first portion of the film is hillarious and clever, the second half seemed trite and too comical.
The ending, although fitting, seemed like a cheap resolution. In the end only Jaffe and Lily can stand each other and their self-centered, eccentric personalities.
