Review of Twelve Monkeys (1995) by Evan K — 24 Dec 2011
Though be it a bleak story, 12 Monkeys delivers as exciting and emotional. Bruce Willis gives a solid performance of being hopeless and worn, yet determined to change things before they can go wrong. Even if Willis is in the lead though, Brad Pitt is the absolute star of the film! He plays such an outstanding ranting lunatic that he was nominated for the Oscar for best supporting actor, which I wouldn't be opposed to him winning at all.
His insanity is done comedically and energetically and is a marvel to watch.
