"Twelve Monkeys" is a great example of a time travel film in which everything fits together without succumbing to various plot holes and contrivances. Although the narrative is purposefully confusing and jumbled, the pieces are expertly revealed little by little in order to keep up the intrigue and suspense.
Bruce Willis does a great job, but Brad Pitt basically steals the movie in an amazing role as a lunatic. Score: 8/10.
