Review of Twelve Monkeys (1995) by Jim G — 11 May 2012
A prisoner in a post-apocalyptic world,is send to the past to undo the virus expansion that almost wiped out mankind.
In a rare mix of genres drama meets science fiction producing a well-combined result that keeps you attention focused at all times.the narrating style makes you doubt what's real and what's not,but in the later part of the movie it is rather obvious what is really going on.the finale is what you expect by James Cole dream, but the facts that lead you there come unprecedented. The effect of the finale is mixed ,by seeing both the future Cole die,but also seeing that the young one still lives, and the mankind is saved leading the movie to a nice finale and the time-travel paradox solved.
Plot is as tight as it can be for a movie including time-travel,the acting is excellent and realistic, direction is also on high standars.
RATING : 8.0.
