Tusk is an important movie because so many of our movies are made to meet expectations. With Tusk, we get a movie that defies expectation. Certainly, there are aspects that are messy - but there's definitely a vision that's seen through until the end.
Its not a masterpiece and doesn't claim to be, but it is a passionate movie and that's enjoyable in, and of, itself. Also, Justin Long was great and Michael Parks was insanely wonderful.
