Review of Tusk (2014) by Private U — 30 Dec 2014

So much promise in terms of story and it starts off well, Michael Parks is very good and intriguing as the adventurer. I find Justin Long quite off putting as an actor and thus again he pushed away at the beginning with over doing it.

The plot gets silly, which whilst I know this is the point but the tone dropped and this was a real shame as it should have stayed straight. Depp ruined it with an offbeat Closeau impression and Smith let go of the reins and it drifted off the road.

It's great to have experiments like this, but it missed the target by quite a big mile.
