Might be Kevin Smith's worst film. The balancing act between the comedy and the horror is so inept it makes one wonder how he's handled either genre effectively before. Maybe next time he should take a little more time outlining his story instead of just hammering out the entire idea during a single podcast while stoned.
Once Johnny Depp enters the story, the movie grinds to a screeching halt and never picks back up. Smith should focus on what he's good at instead of trying to structure his films like Tarantino.
