Smith's post-Clerks 2 career has been pretty terrible. There are flashes of genius from the guy who brought you Mallrats, but this felt incredibly forced most of the time. Maybe in the hands of someone who is more used to the genre this might have been an excellent horror comedy, instead it feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be.
Johnny Depp is the only highlight of the film.
