Review of Tusk (2014) by Hunter B — 02 Jan 2015
I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan, but WTF?? This movie was too out-there for me, and I just don't think it was a good movie. It alternating between dark and compelling (mostly when Michael Parks is speaking), to absurd and unfunny.
The Canadian stereotypes were irritating (Johnny Depp couldn't have at least TRIED for a French Canadian accent? And Dupli-sis? really?), and the story went to insane way to early in the movie. The saving graces for this movie were A) Michael Parks' performance, and B) It's not forgettable.
See Red State instead!
