Review of Tusk (2014) by Nathan M — 08 Jan 2015
Sure, it's pretty wacky and a little overlong, but Tusk has enough creativity and Kevin Smith heart to make up for it. I really did enjoy watching these actors live in this world, and I couldn't get enough of watching Michael Parks revel in every moment of this movie.
Smith imbues the film with so much creativity and joy that it's pretty hard not to at least smile while watching it. It definitely gets a little long and a little lost in its own ideas, but for the most part, Tusk works, and I hope to see more films from Smith soon.
