I'm not really sure what to say about this film. It was visually powerful, the child actors were great -- technically, it had all the right elements, and I did "enjoy" it. But it just didn't strike an emotional chord with me.
Maybe it was the prophesy schtick that seemed a little frivolous, or my own wariness (paranoia?) of possibly politically motivated movies. I still give it 4 stars though, the benefit of the doubt, because I might've just been in a weird mood.
