Review of Turning Red (2022) by Heartseed — 15 Mar 2022

The animation is amazing, and Mei Lee is just cute. Though I can't really help but cringe at some parts, I also can't help but admire the aesthetics, themes, and characters in the movie. The animation is always so good as expected of Pixar. The characters have their own unique lovable qualities. The themes they tried to convey are true to life, though some were executed in a way not so relatable to everyone (including me) like the expensive boy band concerts. I'd definitely spend that much money for something else—though I understand the desire to spend money on something you love.

Overall, just a nice watch and heartwarming at the end too. I got drawn in and had difficulty getting up the couch to pee, because I didn't want to miss anything.
