Not sure what the hate is all about. Teens will easily relate to Mei, and want to see her succeed. Her character carries the whole story. Parents who complain about the movie being “inappropriate”, know that it’s not meant for young children like other Pixar movies.
It’s more targeted to tweens and teens, despite the PG rating.
