Review of Turner & Hooch (1989) by Tibor B — 23 Feb 2010
Yet another of the 80s high concept (Hanks! Dog! Drool! Murder!) odd couple / cop / buddy / dog movies. The film is just an excuse for a young, surprisngly uncharismatic Hanks to roll around in his pants shouting a lot at a drooling dog, yet it's all so gleefully stupid you can't help but smile.
Possibly best with the rose tint of nostalgia...
