Review of Turn the River (2008) by Gary C — 23 Jan 2009
This movie is brilliant. Everything about it is executed wonderfully: the acting is phenomenal, the story is beautiful, and the music is incredible. Famke Janssen proves that she isn't just supporting-cast material, and Rip Torn is finally given a role he can work with.
If you see one movie you've never heard of this year (and you have a fondness for pool), this should be it.
