Before Paul Verhoeven sold out and started making tacky - though occasionally satirical - American films, he made films of a higher calibre in his native Holland, the best of which is the exuberant erotically charged Turks Fruit, starring Rutger Hauer (surely his best role) and sex goddess Moniique van de Van.
One of the definitive films of 70s European cinema.
