Review of Turkish Delight (1973) by Emma B — 27 Feb 2010
This is such a weird film, though definitely one I'd recommend. The narrative is extremely normal and humane, but simultaneously the mise en scene is totally bizarre. It's quite unsettling. I'm still not sure what I really think of it, but I know I didn't dislike watching it.
One thing I'm definitely decided on - never in my life have I watched a film where every single character is so annoying I wish they would die.
