Review of Turistas (2006) by Kimberly E — 24 Apr 2010

I was happy with this film. I really had very low expectations of it just being another "hostel" but in Brazil. It kind of was, but less gore factor, and more of a political twist toward the end.

My only issue was the underwater cave chase sequence. Umm...once the bad guy "caught" someone under water, what was his next plan? No one is just going to willingly swim back to his house of horrors under the threat of ONE arrow, and he can't kill them because then their organs are no good.

So...yeah. Silly. But overall, this film is worth a watch. And is it just me or do Josh Duhamel and Timothy Olyphant look like twins? I almost can't tell them apart and who is in what film.
