Review of Turistas (2006) by Lady D — 09 Sep 2010
Known in the UK as 'Paradise Lost' I saw this in the cinema originally. 'The Beach' meets 'Hostel' is the way I would describe this film, the plot is built on backpackers in Rio and although it's not violent all the way through, the parts that are, are quite shockworthy, so this film is not for the faint hearted, but it's not in league with hostel gore either.
Half realistic style, half typical horror.
