Review of Turistas (2006) by Corey W — 22 Feb 2011
Thought this was an OK movie, nothing brilliant though. Takes a while before the excitement really starts to get going with the last 40 minutes providing the best moments of the film with some nasty moments of violence and suspense.
Early on we're treated to lots of naked and semi-naked scenes of the gorgeous female cast enjoying the Brazillian way of life before some sadistic organ traffickers decide to harvest their insides.
It's not a badly made film but there was just nothing surprising or original about it - it's "The Beach" meets "Hostel".
