Review of Tupac: Resurrection (2003) by Lauri Anssi M — 21 Mar 2007
I am not sure why I liked this movie as much as I did. It got me really inspired. I did not know much about 2pac before I saw this. I had heard few songs by him, that's all. Tupac is a captivating personallity. He has many sides in him: He has this leader-quality but he can also be aggressive and rude. Macho and sensitive. Socially conscious and judgmental at the same time.
But the documentary is also very well done. It is not enough that it is about Tupac. One could make a bad movie about the same subject-matter.
It is great that Tupac is the main-narrator here. This is one of the main reasons why it becomes such an intimate portrait of him.
