Review of Tulpan (2009) by Hong H — 16 Oct 2008
Life in Kazakhstan's steppes being a herds man can be really tough and this film could have been depressing but the director managed to give it a light hearted side and a funny side as well. The hero and his friend remain positive all the way through the film and what they wish for in the future is not so different from they western peers.
I really enjoyed it.
