Simple story of domestic life of herdsman in Kazakhstan but the director is able to sustain the interest of the audience throughout. Documentary approach. Barren landscape, harsh environment, the little girl singing to the wind, lonely yurt in the wilderness.
It deserves the Cannes Film Festival award it won.
