Made for TV tearjerker that is rather more subtle than most of it's type, Jack Lemmon giving a very sensitive performance as a terminally ill professor giving life lessons to his protege. It's still steeped in sentimentality, but is rather more bearable than most of these kinds of Hallmark moments.
